Hair Replacement
Dave you noticed that your hair is thinning as you age? Are you balding? Or is your hair loss the result of burns or trauma? Hair replacement surgery uses your own hair to recreate the natural hairline that frames your face, enhancing your appearance and your self-confidence. Using local anesthesia, hair replacement is performed in the comfort and privacy of our offices at Lubbock Plastic Surgery.
Hair restoration involves removing a small piece of donor tissue (that is approximately eight centimeters by three centimeters and contains thousands of hair follicles) from your scalp and cutting it into thousands of extremely thin pieces, grouping hair follicles from one to six hairs per piece of skin. Each follicle is then precisely placed to create your new hairline.
If you are ready for a hair transplant, it’s time to talk with Dr. Robert Schmid. He will explain your options and diffuse any concerns you may have as he explains the procedure to you and answers your questions. He’ll take into account your lifestyle, goals and personal preferences in tandem with his sound, experienced surgical judgment when making recommendations to you. He will answer your questions and explain the entire process, working hard to diffuse any worries or concerns you may have.
